"Swarovski unveils three new crystal colours for the Spring/Summer 2008 season. Mint Alabaster fits with the ongoing trend of pale shades, providing a perfect match for summery colour combinations. Rose Water Opal picks up on the trend for barely there colours, radiating a subtle, opalescent glow that epitomises the new femininity. Dark Red Coral corresponds to the ongoing trend for natural looks. Perfect imitation of real coral - therefore this color has different shades, which give each single crystal an individual look

Additional contemporary innovations include the Modular Bead, an exuberant new cut that resembles the fusion of two beads and can be used to great effect when fitted together in duplicate, triplicate or more. In contrast, the Graphic Bead has a flat geometric shape with irregular planes that achieve a high degree of brilliance; and the Cubist Bead and Pendant, inspired – as the name suggests – by the Cubist movement, reflect a sophisticated, glittering simplicity.
